Hi everyone! Today I decided to create a cute and simple little winters scene. I kept it quite simple with the two little critters from Lawn Fawns Party Animals all bundled up with their winter hat and ear muffs. I will be entering this card into the Lawnscaping Winter Wonderland Challenge! I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for stopping by!
I have only just started to get back into card making for the new year so I decided to use one of the stamp sets I love the most to get some inspiration flowing. This gnome from Lawn Fawn’s Gnome Sweet Gnome is sooooo cute. He pairs so well with the grass, mushrooms and sentiment from Gleeful Gardens. I wanted to keep it simple to have the little scene be the main focus. For the card base I was thinking I really needed some striped paper so I made my own using a diagonal stencil and some distress inks. I will also be entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge! I hope you liked it! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
Hello everyone. Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you using the Santa’s Helpers stamp set and coordinating dies from Sunny Studio Stamps. This die set not only comes with the dies to cut out the little critters but it also comes with some bonus word dies, which are amazing! I decided to use some of these for my card today. To make my card I first laid the merry & bright dies out where I wanted them on a piece of white cardstock, held them in place with some post it tape and ran them through my Big Shot. I also die cut an arch out of the top of the card with a hill border die. I then stuck this piece of card on top of a piece of patterned paper. After that I had to stick the tiny pieces of the die back in place to make the negative space in the middle of some of the letters.
Once that was done I stamped the little dog in the gift box from the stamp set. I colored him in using Copic markers and added little dots to the gift box with a gel pen. To finish off the card I mounted it onto a piece of black card stock. I hope you enjoyed the card for today!
To create this card I first die cut a circle out of white card, I then stamped the greeting at the top of the circle in some Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I stamped the two penguins at the bottom and then masked them off so I could ink up the background. I added ink mostly to the outside of the circle and worked my way in getting progressively lighter. I removed the masks from the penguins and colored them with Copic markers. To finish off the card I added it to a white card base with some green patterned paper. I hope you enjoyed the card for today, don’t forget to check the Sunny Studios Blog this week to see what the other creative team members have created! Thanks for stopping by!
Hello everyone! Today I have a card to share with you using the Bundled Up stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps. I love how this set comes with a bunch of different accessories for the little penguin so you can dress him up just how you like! To create this card I first got out a piece of Neenah desert storm card stock. I created the background by stamping and heat embossing snowflakes using white embossing powder and added little dots with a white gel pen. I then die-cut a white hill out of card and adhered it to the bottom. For the sentiment I cut a piece of patterned paper into a banner and heat embossed the greeting on with white embossing powder.
Last but not least I needed to stamp and color the little penguin. After he was colored I fussy cut him out and added him to the card. To finish it off I mounted the card onto white and black card stock and added a shadow under the penguins feet.
I hope you enjoyed the card for today! Be sure to check out the Sunny Studios Blog this week for more inspiration using Bundled Up! Thanks for stopping by!
Hello everyone, Melissa here. Today I have a card to share with you using the Santa’s Helpers stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps. I love all the cute critters in the set but my favorite has to be this little kitty dressed up as a Christmas tree. He is too cute!
To create this card I first stamped the cat image onto a piece of blank card and then masked him off with masking paper. I then die cut a hill border with masking paper and placed that over the bottom portion of the card, this would become the snowy hill. I then worked on inking up the sky. This time I used Simon Says Stamp inks and they worked perfectly! I added a light yellow around the cat to make him look like he was glowing and worked my way out to the edges of the card using darker blues. To finish off the sky I stamped a Santa and reindeer flying over head and added some dots of white gel pen for the stars.
I then removed the masks from the cat and the hill. I colored the cat with Copic markers and added some shadow to the snowy hill. To finish off the card I embossed the greeting with red embossing powder and mounted the card on top of some white and red papers. I hope you enjoyed the card for today! Thanks for stopping by!
I made this card for the Lawnscaping In With The Old Challenge. I started card making just over a year ago so I don’t have many things that are considered “old”, however the Into The Woods stamp set from Lawn Fawn was one of the first stamp sets I purchased. I think this little fox is soooo cute! This goodie bag die is also from Lawn Fawn and it was my first time using it. I paired the little fox with some presents and the santa hat from Taboggan Together to create a cute little wintery scene. I hope you like it!
